Kids Craft Storage

March 19, 2013

Today’s Tuesday Tip comes to you because we have had a major problem in our house.  My pantry was over flowing with crafts.  By crafts I mean, coloring books, crayons, scissors  pencils and sharpeners, papers folded, papers colored on.  It was driving me INSANE!  I’m a little crazy about my house being picked up (not necessarily super clean, but picked up) and I just couldn’t handle it.

I looked on Pinterest, and just never found a great solution for us.  I needed something for 6 kids, something that was good for little kids and big kids.  Something that couldn’t easily be dumped all over the place, but could be accessible at the same time.  I also need separation for each of the kids.  They are super possessive of certain coloring books, etc, and I wanted them to have their own little space.

My husband and I came up with this solution with these kids craft storage.  We bought giant bins/buckets/whatever these are actually called.  šŸ™‚  Then I used the Walograph font for the girls, and the Star Wars Font for the boys.

These babies sit in our pantry, and it’s great.  The kids can grab what they want out of them, put the lids back on and they’re good to go.

The only snag we’ve run into … we have one little crafter whose bucket is just TOO full!  She just can’t seem to keep all her fun creations in her bucket.  My rule is if it can’t fit, either clean out your bucket, or get rid of something.  Yeah … she’s sneaky this one.1  šŸ™‚
