We are so excited for school to start around our house. No, it’s not a me turned into a we (although, I am excited). My kids are young, and so school is still a blast for them. I will have a third, and first grader, and a kindergartner.
We got everyone registered for school yesterday and my kindergartner is asking WHEN he starts. He’s SO excited to be at the school with the older kids. Before bed I told him that we’d make a countdown for it in the morning. I wanted something simple, yet fun to look at and a little different than a typical chain countdown.
School supplies are crazy cheap right now, so take advantage! This can be such an inexpensive project and so fun to get the back to school countdown going.
Card stock (any color)
Crayons (enough for the days you have left)
*If you are going to use 2 colors of card stock, then you can cut 1 inch off one long side and one short side. Then mount that onto the larger card stock.
*Write the title you’d like. I wanted a chalk board look to mine, so I used the white crayon on the black paper.
*I used half a mounting square on each crayon, and centered them on the page. You could do them to one side and write the day on there.
*Since we have two start dates (kindergarten starts a week later) I stared the start dates for the older kids and the younger one.
