I loved decorating these Christmas trees. They were SO fun, and SO easy. 🙂 Loved it. I wasn’t sure how they were going to turn out, but it ended up great.
Sparkle Balls (I got these at Hobby Lobby and totally can’t find a link)
I painted this cone a slightly shiny green color. Let the paint dry. Then I just used a paint brush and regular glue, and spread the paint, and put the glitter on. Make sure to allow the glitter to dry too.
** I HATE Glitter. HATE IT! I honestly don’t think I’ve ever purchased it — at least not in the last 15 years. I found a way to NOT hate glitter. I’ll be sharing it in the next little bit — so stay turned for a way to contain glitter for it not to “shed” on EVERYTHING! 🙂
I bought the tinsel from Hobby Lobby, and it has a wire in it. It was a little harder to work with than I anticipated, but over all I decided that I liked having the wire. I used hot glue again to make sure it stayed on really well, but dried quickly. You do have to really watch for gaps that can occur in this one though, so you’ve got to do it close enough together.
Sparkle Ball tree:
I just painted this one sliver since I knew there’d be gaps. Then I used hot glue to glue the balls on in a circular shape. It’s pretty straight forward.
I decided I wanted the under side to be green. Although, doing a gold color would have been REALLY pretty too. I just used a hot glue gun to do the lace. I started at the bottom, then I worked my way up.
I love having the various textures in my decor, and really just having that fun shiny pop of color there too. It just adds so much toe have these little trees.
