Easy Toddler Hairstyles

Easy toddler hairstyle #2
Three Peek-A-Boos – We call these “peek-a-boos” because with my oldest daughter I got her to keep her head still by asking where her hair went, and then it did a little “peek-a-boo” and we found it.  😉  Alright, so with this, wet the hair again.  Then you will start on one of the sides, and eyeball sectioning it off, and go back as far as you’d like.  You’ll grab your elastic, and make a loose pony tail.  There are a couple options here — between the elastic and the head, you can just use your fingers to divide the hair in half, and then flip the pony tail through it by pushing it up and under.  You can also part the hair using a pencil if it’s easier.  🙂  Repeat that two times.

You could always give it a try. When I do it when my girls are little (ya know … like 8 months old, and they HAVE hair, lol), I usually need Dale’s help. So maybe try when Greg is around and could help you in case you need him to talk to her to keep her still. 😉

Cute styles, with 4 girls all having different hair types I know exactly what you mean about learning how to do their hair. The easiest thing I have found for getting my youngest (3) to sit while I do her hair is to sit her on the counter in my bathroom with her feet in the sink, she can look in the mirror and see what I’m doing and she gets more excited about it. If she’s in a not at all cooperative mood she gets to play on my phone. I typically curl her (almost to her waist) hair every day so she’s getting use to it!

    Thanks for sharing your styles!

The counter/sink idea totally works so great! I haven’t given into my phone yet because my littlest would take it and steal it for the rest of the day, or throw a giant fit when I took it away, lol. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

My daughter will let me play with her hair EVERYDAY… but she pulls out the elastics after 20 minutes-an hour later… How do you keep your kids from playing with the hair! i just keep working with her hair, hoping at some point, she will just forget… haha!

Also, what type of elastics do you guys like? I have used three different kinds so far. the little bitty goody’s no metal, the small goody’s no metal, and the teeny weeny dollar store elastics that look almost like the bands used for kids with braces.

ALL of which my daughter pulls out of her hair.
