I love chocolate milkshakes, like a lot! I’ve been trying to eat better (although, I do indulge in a little ice cream popsicles sometimes, lol). I love having smoothies in the morning, and I really wanted to find a really good chocolate smoothie recipe that was healthy. Well, I found one. Although, it didn’t have everything I wanted, so I went ahead and made a few changes. So, now you all get the best super chocolate smoothie recipe!
I try to incorporate vegetables, and protein more often in all of my meals. In a smoothie, it’s fun to add a healthy fat (in this case it’s the natural peanut butter, although you could use another nut butter), and for sweetness I use a little honey, and a banana. Then of course, I use the cocoa powder for the chocolate flavor. It’s perfection – or it’s just the best super chocolate smoothie ever!
Just like that you’ve got the best super chocolate smoothie. It’s a fulfilling meal that is great as a snack during that dreaded afternoon witching hour, or as a meal. Love this one!
- 1 bananas
- 1/3 cup almond milk
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 Tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 Tablespoons natural peanut butter
- pinch of sea salt
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 handful spinach
- 5 ice cubes
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy!
