Raise your hand if your kids seem to ALWAYS be asking for a snack!  *Raises hand as high as possible.*  Is anyone else ever trying to come up with fun, easy and creative snacks that will satisfy growing kids for a few minutes (so you can take a break from the non stop question, “What can I have to eat?”  “What can I have for a snack?”).  Easy Apple Pie Snack by Simplistically Sassy

I have a solution for you!!

While I was at Walmart I saw these super fun RITZ Original Fresh Stacks & RITZ Ultimate Butter Fresh Stacks (which are only available for a limited time) boxes right inside the entrance!  I LOVE this idea of smaller stacks, that are easy to grab and go with.  You and your kids are going to LOVE to easy snack that tastes amazing! Easy Apple Pie Snack by Simplistically Sassy

I wanted to share a little back story on this snack.  My parents grew up back east (they moved out west after they got married, and I’ve been born and raised in the west), and they often would have apple pie with a slice of Cheddar cheese on the side (not on top, not melted in any way, just a regular slice of cheese).  This always seemed so strange to me.  Until I tried it.  It’s SO good!  When I was thinking about a fun and creative snack I could make for the kids, I thought it could be so fun to crate an apple pie snack.  I knew that it might seem kind of strange to you all, but I hope you’ll trust me on this and give it a try.  These are so easy, and are really so so good.

Ingredients:
-Tart apples (I used granny smith)
-Honey
-Cheddar cheese

Slice up your apple fairly thin. I ended up cutting each slice in half to fit on the cracker just perfectly. Next, slice up some cheese until it’s small enough to fit on the cracker.Easy Apple Pie Snack by Simplistically Sassy

Put a little bit of honey on the cracker.Easy Apple Pie Snack by Simplistically Sassy

Then, Stack it up!  Put the cheese right on top of the honey, and the apple on the cheese.  You’re going to LOVE these.  It’s a burst of sweet from the honey, tart from the apple, and the cheese just takes it a fun level that is unexpected.  The RITZ Original Fresh Stacks are like the pie crust – which is always one of the BEST parts.

The greatest part is that you could take these in the car, to the kids soccer game, on a road trip and serve these up without a hassle.

I can’t wait for you to try these!
